As a professional courtesy, the Missouri State Archives transferred Civil War records to the Illinois State
Archives. These records include muster rolls and payrolls for dozens of Illinois companies who served in
Missouri and Arkansas during the Civil War [1862-65]. These were filed in Record Series 301.18, "Admin.
files on Civil War Companies and Regiments 1861-1903. 116 cu.ft." under the Office of the Illinois Adjutant
General.
