- Organized at Camp Douglass, Ill., July 26, 1862 for three months.
- Moved to Cairo, Ill., July 27,
- Thence to Columbus, Ky., August 6.
- Guard railroad and bridges by detachments
- at Big Muddy Bridge, Illinois Central R.R. (2 Cos.);
- at Mound City, Ill., (2 Cos.)
- at Moscow, Ky., (3 Cos.) and
- at Little Obion bridge., (3 Cos.)
- till October
- Mustered out October 29, 1862.
Regiment lost
- 23 by disease during service.
