68th REGIMENT INFANTRY.
- Organized at Camp Butler, June 16, 1862 for three months.
- Moved to Wheeling, W. Va., July 5-7,
- thence to Washington, D.C., July 9-10.
- Camp at Soldiers' Retreat and near Alexandria, Va., till August 24.
- Provost duty at Alexandria, Va., till September 17.
- Moved to Camp Butler, Ill., September 17-21.
- Mustered out September 27, 1862.
Regiment lost
- 25 by disease during service.
