143rd REGIMENT INFANTRY.
- Organized at Mattoon, Ill., and
- mustered in for 100 days June 11, 1864.
- Moved to Memphis, Tenn., June 16-19.
- Attached to 3rd Brigade, Memphis, Tenn., District of West Tennessee.
- Transferred to 3rd Brigade July 12.
- Duty at Memphis, Tenn., till July 27.
- Moved to Helena, Ark., District of Eastern Arkansas, July 27-28, and
- duty there till September 10.
- Mustered out September 26, 1864.
Regiment lost by disease during service
