143rd REGIMENT INFANTRY.

• Organized at Mattoon, Ill., and
• mustered in for 100 days June 11, 1864.

• Moved to Memphis, Tenn., June 16-19.
• Attached to 3rd Brigade, Memphis, Tenn., District of West Tennessee.
• Transferred to 3rd Brigade July 12.
• Duty at Memphis, Tenn., till July 27.
• Moved to Helena, Ark., District of Eastern Arkansas, July 27-28, and
• duty there till September 10.
• Mustered out September 26, 1864.

Regiment lost by disease during service

• 55.
