142nd REGIMENT INFANTRY.
- Organized at Freeport, Ill., and
- mustered in for 100 days June 18, 1864.
- Moved to Memphis, Tenn., June 21-24.
- Attached to R. R. District, Memphis, Tenn., District of West Tennessee, and
- assigned to duty on Memphis & Charleston R. R. at White's Station till October.
- Mustered out October 27, 1864.
