142nd REGIMENT INFANTRY.

  1. Organized at Freeport, Ill., and
  2. mustered in for 100 days June 18, 1864.
  1. Moved to Memphis, Tenn., June 21-24.
  2. Attached to R. R. District, Memphis, Tenn., District of West Tennessee, and
  3. assigned to duty on Memphis & Charleston R. R. at White's Station till October.
  4. Mustered out October 27, 1864.
